Island Corporation, situated in the Township of Springwater, acknowledges Indigenous Peoples as the original stewards of these lands. We acknowledge that the Township of Springwater is located within the boundaries of the Williams Treaty, Lake Simcoe Purchase, the James Collins Purchase and the Nottawasaga Purchase. We respectfully acknowledge that we are working on the traditional territory of the Three Fires Confederacy which include the Ojibwe, Odawa and Potawatomi Nations. We also acknowledge the Wendat and Haudenosaunee Nations. We are grateful for the First Nations of these territories, for their care and teachings about the land
